why livehesed.org?

Hesed is a Hebrew word that refers to God’s loving-kindness. I like to imagine a world where the compelling value–that which drives the very engine of our world’s systems, economies, and institutions–is loving-kindness. Not a cute, cloying sweetness, but rather a rigorous commitment to compassion, solidarity, mercy and selflessness.
